All Things Reconsidered
Written by Trey, the song takes on a strong resemblence of the opening music for National Public Radio's "All Things Considered." It was first played on September 25, 1991. This was at the Colonial Theater, in Keene, New Hampshire. It was played a total of 78 times until the "Big Break." Knowing that this instrumental piece sounded a lot like NPR's version, Trey altered the version to sound more like it, in a more parody-like way.
The song did not go well with the band in 1991, and it was dropped for the fall tour of 1991 until March 6, 1992. The band came back with a stronger piece, but ultimatley, it was not a regular piece in the band's list. Only in 1992 and 1993 was the piece played with effort, but was tapered as time went into 1997, where it was last played on February 23. If you'd like to hear a version for yourself, but have no bootlegs, get the album, "Rift."
