Magical Mystery Tour (Released November 27th, 1967) If you hold the album upside down and hold a mirror right up to it you can make out a phone number. The number is 531-7438. But you MUST have the right area code. When the number and the correct area code is called you hear the story of how Paul died. Paul is NOT in the walrus costume, it is JOHN and you can clearly see this in the movie. Paul is the cow looking thing and Ringo is the thing with he glasses. In Scandinavian countries the walrus is a symbol of death. Walrus means corpse in Greek, therefore also making I am the walrus translated into I am the corpse. In the movie there is a scene where Paul is sitting behind a desk that says, I was with a cartoon figure pointing straight forward. (Maybe symbolizing that I was you). And his dress attire and office appearance suggest a military funeral. When The Beatles performed "I am the walrus" on Ringo's bass drum it reads (clearly) "Love 3 Beatles" 3 Beatles? No Paul? Also notice that there are a pair of bloody shoes by the drum. I highly suggest you rent the movie and look for these things.
In the song booklet there are scenes with an open palm above Pauls head. The line Goo goo ga joob was taken from James Joyces Finnegans Wake (one of John Lennons favorite authors). In the story the last words of the egg man (Humpty Dumpty) before he fell were good goo ga joob. Possibly symbolizing the damage done to Pauls head in the accicent. In the part where The Beatles perform Your mother should know in the movie all of The Beatles are wearing red carnations except Paul (once again, being portrayed differently!) The list of songs on the album it says "I am the walrus" than it says "No you're not." said Little Nicola. John would be the one saying "I am the walrus" and Little Nicola said "No you're not." John is not the walrus.
The following songs have to deal with Pauls change, the walrus, policeman and the new Paul: I Am The Walrus: I am he as you are me as you are he and we are all together. (At the end of the song is the voice of John Lennon and Dr. Robert saying lines from Shakespeares King Lear Leer from "Paperback Writer"). What is he dead? Bury my body, Oh, untimely death! and John concludes it with Sit you down father, rest you. Last but not least the line stupid bloody Tuesday hinted at the accident that happened on a Tuesday. Mr. City police man sitting pretty little police men in a row. (Billy Shears was a policeman). Penny Lane: Penny lane is in my ears and in my eyes. (Pennies are put in dead peoples eyes in foreign countries). Hello, Goodbye: You say goodbye and I say hello. (Paul says goodbye and Billy says hello). "Strawberry Fields Forever": "I burried Paul." this is at the very end of the song 3:57 minutes in. It's pretty freaky and very easy to hear. |
