The Broadcast News
The broadcast media has been struggling to keep up with the events as they occur. The challenge in
most of these cases is that the studios and offices of the major networks are generally located in big
cities that have been over-run by the dead. The major networks are therefore relying on their affiliates
in smaller towns to keep up with the news and maintain a consistency in the quality and accuracy of their reporting.

Considering the nature of the news reports, the affiliates have been challenged to provide
accurate and detailed reports without violating any FCC regulations or broadcast standards.
In some areas where the law has broken down, the local affiliates are airing anything that might be
helpful to the general population, no matter how speculative the news might be or how gruesome the footage.

Even in the midst of chaos and the world falling apart, there would still be some producers and directors
in the studios who are trying to maintain strict accordance with FCC rules and broadcast standards.
