CAMEROON MISS MARK
CAMEROONS World Cup preparations have been thrown into even more mayhem, after the plane carrying them to Japan was forced to land in Thailand.
The Indomitable Lions Boeing 757 was forced to take an emergency landing in Bangkok, after the plane was refused permission to fly over Cambodian, Vietnamese and Phillipine airspace.
It is not yet known why the flight left Bombay without prior clearance from the South-East Asian countries, but Thai and Cameroon officials are currently trying to obtain clearance to complete the journey.
This is bad news for the Cameroon side who are already running five days late, after a pay dispute with the Cameroon FA meant the players refused to leave Paris.
Cameroons delay has forced local residents of Nakatsue (where the Cameroon side will be staying) to cancel several goodwill events, including a welcome ceremony and a practice match against schoolkids.
