| The roots of Dead Loc't can go back as far as 2003, when guitarist Kyle Pfeiffer and vocalist Roman James started writing music together and playing with many different musicians. After the two members wanted things to get serious, they recruited bassist Todd May and drummer Brandon Schmidt through friends. The band start rehearsing every day, jamming on original material Roman and Kyle were working on. The other two members both started contributing music to the band to writing songs, the band now collaborates as a whole. The band started playing shows in the Black Hills of South Dakota, their first show at Toomey's Mill Arcade on May 28, 2005 |
