Here is my 1978 Aria PW-40 acoustic. Essentially it's a Japanese "knock-off" of a classic Martin style. The top is solid spruce, and the back and sides are brazillian rosewood. I picked this one up many years ago when I was shopping around for a replacement for my Ovation that I owned at the time. This guitar played way better than all of the new guitars in the showroom, and it came home with me. I've compared it to a few comparable Martins, and it holds its own against them.
A shining example of what Japanese craftsmen can do! |
