What is a goth. I think that is the thought on many peoples minds these days. were high schools and in concerts and at the mall. Were everywhere. But what does it relaly mean to be a goth? This is an open question for every one to respond to, and you should or else Ill put a curse on you!! A Curse of Hate!! Lucia knowns these things... she Wican. (sorry, rant) So respond, send me emails and I'll post them!! I'll put some of my own thoughts here whenever I finally get the time and what not...

I myself am Goth/witch but follow noone or any religion but i was raised to be christian LOL .Ok i think goth is a lifestyle,way of living,dress,mindset,in your heart and soul.I think being goth doesn't mean hanging in the mall at hottopic 24/7 . I don't think we go around scaring people well not intentionally :) I strongly don't think goth is whiney snotnose kids who end up on jenny jones or ricki lake spatting that the cloths are who you are so you won't change those lil kids give us true goth's a bad name and make the moral majority of parents and schools and stores afraide of us.I think the world needs to wake up and realise goth just didn't become existent it has been for many centuries.Goth style used to be centuries ago big robes like what monks wear.

I agree that Goth is a lifestyle, a mindset, a way of dressing but I especially agree that Goth is in the heart and soul .......if it was not then dressing Goth and acting Goth would serve no true purpose, it would simply put one under the Goth category but with nothing to back it up. Anyone can dress Goth or act Goth but it is the cause, reason, and source which gives one, for lack of a better word, the " right" to represent the Goth life and call yourself Goth. Goth is representing the dark side of oneself openly to others. Goth is being aware of the bad in the world and not fearing it but induring in it. Goth is bringing out the beauty in the ugly and the beauty in one's darkness.

I agree. Goth isn't about Hottopic at all. Its a way of living and thinking. And its not about being depressed or worshipping Satan. Its about being who you are.

Hey, Im a goth/witch boy. And I agree with all of the responses. Goth is not people who jump out and scare people, goth is a creative lifestyle where you can express urself freely. Sure, people might laugh @ u now and then but they can just fuck off!!! And goths do not always hang out @ HotTopic, we have other lives then that! We have friends, family, music, exc. We still have to do regular stuff like other people do, but we make it look good!!

i agree with all of the responses also, goth is definitly a way of living. its in ur heart and soul. its being different and having more of an open mind. it is dressing differently and liking different styles than the average person. Its like finding the light inside urself and others like u in a world that is black. Its not going around scaring ppl by threats of sucking their blood or killing them. Its not being a satanist or pagan or any other religion. Its not shopping around Hot Topic all the time. It is definitly not being depressed and suicidal all the time. Im a goth, and I come from a rele christian-based home. Goth is alot better than ppl think and act like it is.

hey, I came upon your site and it really pissed me off. I hope you know how rediculous you sound with the typical "I go to hot topic all the time" "I hang out at the mall 24/7" "I live in dark corners" etc. It sounds like such bullshit and that you're really fake.
