THE BONE COLLECTOR

I have a bone to pick with this flick. While I enjoyed it, it may not appeal to everyone. The serial killer in this movie is almost ploddingly methodical, and much of the events surrounding the behavior of the police make it difficult for any real suspension of disbelief. It is neat to see Al Bundy in a movie other than a comedy, though. This movie is a decent way to spend a few hours and it does hold your attention enough to keep you awake. It is no "Silence of the Lambs" and the revelation of the killer is somewhat ridiculous, though the dispatching of said psycho is rather amusing. My friend Loree has one of the special beds featured in the movie, and lets just say I'll always be careful with it from now on. NO more Kraftmatic joy riding for me!!
The real problem I had with this movie was the way it offed Queen Latifah. How dare they!!! Movie makers always wanna kill her off!! First in Sphere (which should have been called Suck!) and now she gets gutted like some third rate Vanilla Ice rapper!! And even HE didn't die in Cold As Ice, even though he looked like gumby and was as "keepin' it real" as that plasticene Klokey creation.
You just don't kill off your rappers, it's not cool. I was gonna leave the theater during Anaconda if 'Cube had croaked, though I probably should have left because it sucked. Well, let's just say that I haven't seen Deep Blue Sea yet, but it comes on HBO soon, and even if the movie bites it, L.L. had better not.
