Disclaimer:I'm both a massive Nirvana/Kurt Cobain fan and a huge Hole/ Courtney Love fan, so this should be unbiased. I love them both and they've both had an impact on my life. This is just my POV on the media portrayl of the couple and the bitching between their fans.

Kurt and Courtney made a beautiful couple, they may not have been perfectly suited in the eyes of many, even to themselves sometimes-"battery acid and Evian water"- but it's annoying how they get treated by the media and fans alike.
| Kurt is always portrayed as the weak, vunerable guy who was led astray by the calculating, over-powering woman (Courtney). But that cannot be true. Sure Kurt appeared to be more vunerable, more 'gentle' and I'm sure he was. And Courtney comes across as very strong-minded and out-spoken, and she is. But that doesn't mean she used him and abused him. Courtney has that star quality. She knows how to work it for the cameras. Kurt was more uneasy with the attention, next to Courtney he looks kinda dorky. Yeah, he looks sexy, but he doesn't throw the star shapes that Courtney does. She seemed so much larger than life compared to him. Even in this photo she looks stronger, she looks in charge. And the media has always been anti-Courtney. They were very different, but that didn't mean that they weren't in love. No-one will ever know what they were like together and how good or bad they were for each other except them. Cos the media lies. |
