You put the key, which is quite small and made of brass, into your coat pocket. You then leave the General Waiting Room and make your way back to the platforms. Just as you step onto platform 3 you hear a train whistle. A train is just arriving on platform 1. You ask a member of the station staff where it will be going. Apparently it will form the express to York, calling at York only.
