Dead Angelica Version 20 *-* You Ripped My Heart Out Of Me, Then You Put It Back

Good Charlotte, Sugarcult and Mest (16th December 2003)

We had so much trouble with the tickets beforehand. First of all, Elli retardedly bought us SEATING tickets (for me, Elli and Kate H). So I had to buy one standing ticket off the internet and two off Becky, and Elli gave two of the seatings to her friends Shams and Sarah, so we had one spare.
Then, even though Elli had a half day and I TOLD her to get there as early as poss, she decided not to turn up until about four, so she wasn't that close to the start. But anyway, I forgive her :)
So after school finished, we (me, Kate, Helen, Becky and Diana) rushed up there. I finally got to meet Shams, though I don't think she understood anything me or Kate were saying 'cos we speak so fast. We got in without any problems, although Helen discovered that HER ticket said 'seating' so she kissed the security guy and he let her into standing. Hehe she is a whore, literally! Lol.

Mest
Mest's roadies came out and attached this little homemade banner to the drumkit, it was SO hilarious. Tony was like, "Yeah, Sugarcult and GC have got proper banners but no-one gave us one, so we had to make our own!" They didn't play What's The Dillio? but they did play Hotel Room and Cadillac (which Chris played the guitar for! Whoo!) so I forgive them. Benji came out to sing Jaded and the crowd went spastic. I forgot to scream "GET IT ON YOU HOMOSEXUALS!" :( but anyway. Tony's lil brother, EJ, came on to play guitar for one of the songs, I forget which one. (Wow Tony is a lazy ass, never playing his own instrument!) He (EJ) is the cutest thing, and the (cue American accent) hottest piece of ass I have ever seen! Lol. I knew all the words to all the songs, except Fuck the Greyhound Bus, 'cos it's on the album they had before Wasting Time, when Jeremiah wasn't even a part of the band.

Sugarcult
Before the gig, I truly had no idea that Sugarcult were so big. They didn't play Lost In You, but I forgive them because of their wonderful performance. They did play Hate Every Beautiful Day, and Pretty Girl, and Daddy's Little Defect and Bouncing Off The Walls. Tim threw stuff out at the end and Elli caught one of their mini-CD things, yay! Once again, I knew all the words to all the songs except for a couple off their new album which isn't released yet.
The people directly behind me were complaining about Helen and her Sugarcult teeniness, which was extremely hilarious.
At this point, me and Elli noticed the MADE tshirt of the girl in front of us, and made hissing remarks about 'Lame!' which I hope no-one understood apart from us. Then there was a long-ass wait for GC... They hung a massive banner in front of the stage, so all the teenies screamed at it every time it fluttered. Then, finally...

Good Charlotte
They did another good performance, bringing out the acoustic guitar for Emotionless, which was so cute 'cos the twins kept giving each other these looks... it was SOOOO adorable. Lots more talking to us than last time, although I couldn't hear that clearly 'cos of teenie screaming. Joel claims Say Anything was written for an English girl that broke his heart. They played Motivation Proclamation, which made me the happiest girl in that moshpit, I literally stood still and sang my heart out while everyone else smashed around. Still no Seasons, however, I guess I'll have to wait until next time. Tony came out to sing with them, and I remembered to scream "GET IT ON!" but I left out the homosexual part as I have a paranoid fear of being beaten up by weirdo moshpitters.
What else... oh yeah, some teenie scratched my arm with her spiked bracelet. Some other girl screamed "BENJJJJ-AYYYYYYYY!" just like the way me and Kate do when we make fun of teenies. It was so hilarious, I was laughing and when I recovered I screamed, "CHRISSSSSSSS!" just to keep the balance.
Kate went in the Circle pitt, which I think deserves a mention, well done Kate.
Oh, and Joel crowdsurfed. I was about three feet away from him.

Well, I got extremely smashed around and couldn't breathe without it hurting the next day, but c'mon, it was always going to be a great gig with three of my favourite bands!
