Chapter 8: The Siege of Shardon...
As his soldiers fell before him, Oreck stood up on a mound and shot a screaming bolt upwards towards the battlements of Shardon;
The bolt made contact; Blood burst out of the elf's helm. He was thrown back, blood flailing around him. His friend looked on with terror as his friend fell down with half his face missing.
Meanwhile, the orcs and Scorpian knights had escaped the arrows and had dashed towards Shardon's walls with siege ladders;
A ladder hit Graynar in the shoulder. He dropped his crossbow and unsheathed his sword. An ugly orc popped his hidious head above the wall. Graynar was waiting and whipped the head off the orc's bony shoulders. It fell knocking a goblin on the head. Graynar smiled, today was his day to be good. He continued hacking the intellegent foes climbing up the ladder.
Little did Graynar know, Scorponis had planned this, and in moments Shardon could fall.
Unpreplexed by their slain, decapitated, and handicapped friends, the forces of Oreck's horde continued climbing up the ladder to meet Graynar's sword.
