First night of the new Forgotten Realms Campaign. It began with around the death of the famous adventurer, Nathaniel Talonhawk, well traveled adventurer and thrill seeker. The reading of his will triggered the gathering of a special band of individuals who convered on his last place of residence, the town of Beregost along the Sword Coast. Nathaniel's granddaughter, Nialia Talonhawk, his long time friend, Gimble Clank, Gnome Wizard of magic and technology, and a Halfing who aided him one upon a time, Payden of the Greycloak Hills. Also on his way to Beregost was Joseph Trueheart, Purple Dragon Knight of Cormyr, sent by his mentor to protect a young man who is supposedly the prophet of Tyr named Paul Freelan. Upon arriving in town with a merchant caravan, Nialia, Gimble, Joseph and Payden witnessed the hanging of a man, Jareth, who was found convicted of murdering his wife and unborn child. Nialia went to the Burning Wizard tavern for a quick drink. Joseph went as well but only to ask the barkeep if he knew the whereabouts of Freelan. Gimble and Payden's curiousness prompted them to investigate the gallows and the dead man's body. After Gimble investigated the workings of the gallows and the large slow witted executioner exchanged words with Payden, they went their separate ways. Payden went to Nathaniel's house
