We have re-elected the current administration to continue its policy of bad policy. What should we expect in this second term? I think we are going to receive more of the same. What is more of the same one may ask? The groups that backed the administration the first time will continue to flourish. I guess many of you dont really care nor have you taken notice of these groups. These group would be: Oil companies, Insurance companies, Stock Brokers and certain construction companies. I will go through them so you see my point. Firstly with the Oil companies. As gas price shoot throught the roof in this country oil companies are raking in the money. We have reserves that Bush refuses to tap because he believes that we need them for a war. maybe we should use them now since he has started already. Inconsistencies with Bush and his buddies keep the Middle East off balance with the threat of invasion or hegemony which is diving up the cost of barrels of oil. Oil companies are filling their pockets while Americans are paying at the pumps. Insurance companies: Insurance premiums are going through the roof and the Bush clan has no plan to offset the cost, but they sure did go out of their way to limit victims recourse for bad services. The problem with healthcare cost was not soley lawsuits, because most practices dont deal in high risk procedures. You pay high premiums to companies that take your money, deny payment on major procedures and if you dont need any services during the year dont give you a refund. Insurance companies received free money monthly from every client, many of which dont use their insurance. where does the excess money go? Well if you are stuck for an answer let me tell you. It goes for bonuses for presidents and sales people, vacations, business lunches and whatever other spending they can devise.
Stock brokers: Bush is working so very hard to tell you how bad Social Security is for American. I must say that if Mr. Bush is for something then it cant be good. I say this because he doesnt and hasnt done anything worthwhile for this country unless there was something in it for him or his buddies that put him into power. Mr Bush is anti-American by the policies he makes and the acts that he has commited or does not commit. I will go into that in the end. I digressed, with the advent of personal accounts, Stock Brokers that have become all but ancient history will once again be on the prowl. This means even though you may not get much from Social Security and no one is saying the Social Security is perfect, but losing your money to organised thieves is worse. The Broker lobby is licking its chops for personal accounts to begin. No matter how he tries to sell it or color it it is a bad idea. If you want to invest then do it outside of Social Security and citizens currently have the right to do so. Of all of the issues to take on, why this one? Do you really think Bush is looking out for the future of Americans? Is that why we outsource jobs? Is that why you cant find "Made in America" on products anymore? Is that why American tax dollars are going to Iraq and Afghanistan to improve their lives and not ours? oh I am sure Mr. Bush has "Our" interests in heart and mind.
Construction companies: Haliburton has raped this country and has made Billions on non-bid contracts. Remember this is the company that Dick Cheney was in charge of years ago. how ironic that the company gets the contract. I am sure Dick has no interests in that company like stock or kickbacks from his buddies that are receiving "Billions" of dollars for work. If this was the Clinton administration which they love to demonise there would be an all out investigation. Since the new SS has been in charge there are no investigations of Mr. Bush and no one is allowed to criticize the Furor because he send his Goon Squad into action. This is why the so-called "Left-wing" Media has become so Bush friendly. Either you report as Bush wants it or his surrogates will report you and then the Goons come to scan you with with a fine tooth comb. Look at what happened to Dan Rather, he reported a truthful piece but had bad documents. No one cared that the story was thruthful, but focused on the documents. Bush has yet to prove his side on the issue, becuase he cant justify his where-a-bouts during that time.
The groups I discussed above have been the darling of the Republican party. Just as Teachers Unions, Lawyers, Hollywood, and labor Unions are the darlings of the Democratic party. The difference in this instance is that Bush is attcking the darlings of the democrats by cutting funding of school, limiting awards of lawyers and attempting to dismantle unions. The democrats have pretty much made their proverbial beds and are being made to lay in it. With their disconnect with the American people they are no longer the "Party of the People" and their issues have fallen upon deaf ears.
I love America and what it stood for once. It has become a country headed by a proven liar and cheat. It no longer seems the country that leads the world but one that forces the world. A world that is changing and even though we refuse to realize, one that is catching up to us and in some ways surpassing us. Education, jobs, healthcare are things that all Americans should not be without. When I say Americans I dont mean those that jump borders or overstay their visas, I mean American born and laboring. America has turned its back on its citizens under Bush and the citizenry it elated in its ignorance. While we lose rights and are cheated of our needs we dont make a sound. Where is that America where the People questioned authority? The America of individualism and free thought? We have moved into group thought and sheep-like behavior instead of being American. All I can suggest is that we wake up and save our country.
