		Lazy Americans?

	There has been so much discussion on the issue of outsourcing jobs here in America. Those that support it say that others are doing work that Americans either don't want to do or are too lazy to do. First let's cover overseas outsourcing. Companies ship business over the waters to obtain cheap labor and fewer restrictions on labor laws such as hours of work, age of workers, and safety issues. That says a lot about the companies from which we buy products. If our government would give tax breaks to companies to stay instead of taxing them and forcing their flight, Americans could do the work. Our workers would of course have laws on hours and safety because we are better informed on those issues than those across the seas. It is a crime I believe for a company to be able to make a profit only if they make the product elsewhere than here in the United States. It would seem that we are competing with ourselves to do business. Locally we have illegals jumping over our borders creating not only a safety risk but a health risk as well as foreigners mix in with our population. I have a solution to our problem that will save us money and put Americans to work. Since most Americans don't want to do the labor in fields then we should use our prison population. We have a source of labor that would do the work, wouldn't cost much, and they have benefits. Tapping prisoners would allow inmates to pay back society for housing them. I am only talking about non-violent offenders of course doing the work. American prisoners contributing to society and paying their debt, who would have thought? Who would object to saving money by putting able body Americans to work? After we establish our prisoner work detail, which would be voluntary, we would have to seal up our borders. America doesn't owe Mexico an economy so it shouldn't be a problem closing our borders to their citizens that cross illegally daily. Mexico and its President Vicente fox would get ample warning that Mexicans can no longer cross our borders with petitioning for entrance. We would make a mile wide expanse between our border and mexico. Anyone found in that expanse would be treated as an enemy combatant and shot on sight. If Mr. Fox doesn't want Mexican citizens shot he will patrol his side of the border and make sure his people don't cross over into the expanse. This will decrease the flow of drugs and illegal immigrants that tax our system through welfare, healthcare and the penal system. If implemented our country would ensure its safety, help its economy and re-establish American pride.
