I called the Neal Bortz show today and the topic was the Massachuesetts decision for gay marriage. I dont have a problem with anyone that chooses to live the gay lifestyle. The choice that an adult makes is his or her own decision and they should not be harrassed because of it. As long as the participants are in agreement and have consented they should be happy. I must point out first and foremost that the gay lifestyle IS a choice and not genetic. I have heard so many on radio and television repeat this politically correct stance and they make themselve sound silly. No one is born to have sex with a particular individual or thing and this is why we have many variations in sexual lifestyles. Gays have enjoyed the facade of fooling most of the people all of the time. I have listened as individuals make statements such as "I knew I was gay when I was three years old". Any person with half a wit would know that a three-year old isnt looking to engage in sexual acts nor does a three-year-old have fantasies of sex unless there is something really wrong at home. No man can say that he was born to have sex with another man nor can a man state that he was born to have sex with only thin or obese women. They may get satisfaction from those particular sex partners but it is not genetic. Other sexual deviants fall into the same category and this is where I start my rant. I called the Boortz show to voice my disagreement to the ruling of same sex marriage stating that it would lead to influences in education and that the lifestyle has permeated the airwaves and movies. Boortz quickly changed the conversation from the subject to hang me up on a seemingly obvious point. "Where is the gay lifestyle being pushed upon Americans"? The answer was apparent and is obvious to anyone that has turned on a television or has gone to a movie. I answered that it is in almost every movie, commercial, or show you watch and they are promoting the gay lifestyle for acceptance. I added that the same industry did not take the same steps with racial harmony but is willing to force sexual acceptance down our throats. Homosexuals comprise a small minority in this country but are found in almost every form of entertainment. The arguement a few years ago was that minorities were not seen on television ands movies because they comprised only a "Minority" of the viewing audience. My question is again, "When did homosexuals get a patent on being a minority"? Accepting people as humans is one thing, to accept people based on their sexual orientation is absurd. I was quickly disconnected from my call and Boortz went on to talk about how people wont accept homosexual relationships. I held on to the phone thinking to myself "Talk about being politically correct". I have heard Boortz repeatedly state that conservatives dont look at people as groups, but what was this arguement based upon? The fact that Boortz was taking a stance for a group based on orientation was hypocritical. I am a firm advocate of racial equality because an individual cannot readily hide or mask his or her racial identity. when it comes to religion, sex and preferences, I believe those issues are personal and should be treated as such. Individuals should not wear these issues on their sleeve nor expect others to respect them because of them. Conversely, ones race should not be used as a crutch to explain all misfortune. Talk shows whether on the radio or on television are playing to the audience and cant be trusted when it comes to getting all of the facts. Talk show hosts only say what is needed to keep their ratings or to improve them to stay on the air. There are a few on-air personalities that dare to challenge the status quo and ask the hard questions and for these De_spin2003 was created. |
