O.J SIMPSON ISSUE
There has been so much talk about the O.J Simpson trial. Despite the fact that the trial is over and O.J has gone on with his life, particular Americans refuse to respect our judicial system when it does not afford them their desired outcome. I watched the trial from start to finsh and I agreed with the first ruling of "Not guilty". I am not on the radio nor television so I dont have to sugar-coat or play the middle as they do. The second ruling by the jury was in my opinion criminal.  Those that claim O.J's guilt were not at the scene of the crime and they dont know first-hand the type of relationship he had with Nicole.  I dont think anyone should feel strongly about O.J if they were not there that fateful night. As stated previously, I watched the trial from beginning to end and the facts that acquitted O.J were strong.  The fact that the police took evidence home, their faulty  collection of evidence, inconsistencies in testimony all led to his acquittal. On an emotional level I can see how people could come to such conclusions that O.J did the crime, but I am not emotional.  To me the O.J Simpson trial proved that the police are quick to lie and cover up mistakes.  Some say that "His money got him off", and I must agree, But the issue is much deeper than that.  O.J used his resources to expose the police as over-anxious and willing to do anything to get a conviction and this is what we should focus on when we discuss this trial.  People around this country residing in the inner cities have cried out for justice and the cries had fallen upon deaf ears.  O.J and his trial made people take a second look at their claims. Some in this country believed that the police would never cross the line, but their belief was shattered in this trial. (Some dont care about those of the inner city anyway so it doesnt matter). The fact that a white woman had a black husband and wound up dead one night fueled the anger of many.  The fact that O.J had fights with this white woman angered many even more, so he was convicted in their minds before the trial even started.  The trial showed how divided this country is on racial lines and this saddens me.  I am not going to say something dumb like " I thought that was over"  like most idiots would.  America has never been sorry for racism in fact it has enjoyed it.  It recieved free labor from the Natives, Africans, Chinese and Irish, what could be better?  You get free labor to build the country and you keep the builders from enjoying or reaping the benefits of what they built, what a deal!   But I digressed, O.J Simpson is guilty of one thing, being a dumb-ass.  He has gone all over the networks opening his mouth on the issue and makes himself look bad when he does.  My advice to O.J is to just shut your hole and raise your children, and oh yeah, leave the white women alone. It is sad that two people died but a rush to judgement was no excuse to resolve it

I must clarify my stance on O.J leaving white women alone because I have received e-mail on this. I am simply stating that O.J has not helped himself or his reputation by chasing women that resemble Nicole.  He has been ridiculed and scrutinized by the press for his choices in women so he should do something else.
