Bush Mania
The last three years in the United States have been like an adventure in another world.  Under the watch of George W. Bush Americans have gone through a recession, terrorist attacks, two military maneuvers, stripping of individual rights, and outright lies and denial from the president.  I would like to go through each of these individually to make my point.  first I would like to say that this current president is the only that I have seen in my lifetime to have so many people making excuses for his actions and denying that any wrong-doing has occurred.  I whole-heartedly think that the Bush administration should be considered the "Mind control administration".  From the beginning of the recession the average Joe on the street would tell you that we were in a recession. The Bush administration totally denied any claims of a recession.  It took two planes flying into buildings in New York City to make Bush and his staff admit what we already knew.  Matter of fact if you do your homework, they admitted the recession the week of the attack before it could effect the economy. I think George Bush has been watching too many Star Wars episodes and thinks that he is a Jedi Knight.  With a simple wave of his hand and a denial,  the American people will forget what they are thinking .  Bush said that he knew nothing about the attacks and that there was no way to prevent them.  I agree that there may not have been a way to stop the attacks but we had knowledge of them.  The Saudi's, French and Canadians have stated that they informed our country of the attacks and of the method of attack.  The response from the Administration was,"We knew nothing about it".  Lets see now, we have no idea of a recession and we know nothing of an attack, two down a few more to go. Next we will tackle the stripping of rights. After 911 Americans have continuously been bombarded with scare tactics of the administration to keep you focused on "Terror" instead of issues that need immediate attention like education, healthcare, economy, drug legislation.  I am not saying that the security of our country is not important but you dont have to scare citizens and ignore social issues to make us secure. You can't recall a speech in which G.W hasn't mentioned the word "Terror" when addressing the American people. When the American citizenry was clamouring for healthcare and education, "Terror" was their response. We the economy was faultering and Americans were concerned about benefits and how to feed their families, "Terror" was their response.
With this banner of terror as his theme G.W has become the most hated figure around the world.  The media doesnt inform Americans that their half-wit President has caused more harm to the reputation of our country.  We have become the bully on the block and the only "Allies" we have are fair-weather hangers-on that only seek to benefit from our bullying. Diplomacy is not in G.W's vocabulary and despite protests around the world against him, he continues to think that he is doing good work.  If G.W was the leader of another country, we would be poised to throw him out of office because of his desire for war and his practice of hegemony.  I must submit that G.W is out of control, but there is no viable candidate to challenge him for his office.  for the most part, no viable candidate Democratic or Republican would want to run against G.W.  He has caused so much damage that the person following him would suffer the pain of Bill Clinton.  Bill had his own agenda when he became president, but there are some that now blame him for not finishing what George Bush Sr. started in Iraq and did not finish.  Despite the fact that Bill Clinton was not a man looking for a war he was the recipient of one. The successor of G.W Bush will be charged with mending relationships with our European allies, Asia, American neighbors and the Muslims. The successor will also have to deal with an economy that has faultered since Bush took office as well as the issues he has side-stepped during his term. National security will be placed into the lap of the next president as well as trade disputes with other countries such as China, Japan, Europe,  African states and Mexico. Damage control will pre-occupy the next President of the United States.
We as Americans have become comic relief for those outside of our country.  They seem to know more about our country and its workings than we do.  I believe it is time for all Americans to take charge of their future and vote to make a change.
