I have been riding now for about 5 years. The first time I went up, I had fun but the next day...OUCH!!!! I was so sore! I have been skiing since I was about 15, but snowboarding is quite a bit different. Snowplow? What's that? ;) This is a great sport, but unfortunately it costs bucks to go up often. L I recently purchased a Santa Cruz Pro Board Directional Twin. It's a Rider's choice T-type. Blood red in color and about a 164cm. This board carves like a dream and is relatively light for it's size, so it can not only do the big mountain carving, but it can sky with the best of 'em. This year Y2K!!! I am working on getting bigger air and going for some grabs! I used to ride a K2 FAT BOB and it fit me great! My toeside and heelside have no hangover on that board and my boots sit right on the edge. Carving is very nice on this board and it floats through powder.
Many of my friends have joined me on the slopes and they often go up to Tahoe with me. A picture of one of our trips can be found in the friends and family section. All my friends now have boards and we are ready to ride! Sam and Howard both ride Santa Cruz Rider's Choice pro decks. Sam's is bus yellow and Howard's is baby blue. Howard carves with me and will soon be airing it out with me! Sam is trying hard, but he has to grow some BALLS! YOU HEAR ME SAM!!! Hahhahahah!!! It's time to hit the slopes, so everyone wax up their boards and let's sharpen those edges!
I am heading up to Whistler, BC this February 2000!!! It should be fun! Stay tuned for pictures from that trip!
