Thunderbird IRS Pinion Brace

I have made a few Braces for the IRS on any MN12 or FN10 Chassis vehicles. This includes all models of 89-97 Ford Thunderbirds and Mercury Cougars, as well as 93-98 Lincoln Mark VIII's. This Pinion brace ties the Lower control arm mounting points to the Differential Mounting bolts to help reduce flex in the rear end, a primary source of "wheel hop".

These Braces are made out of 1/4" and 3/8" Steel and weigh only 5 pounds. It is designed so it will not hang down any lower than the subframe on any vehicle. The Braces were built off an actual IRS assembly so they have all of the proper angles and will fit. On Early style gas tanks ( 89-92 ) it is necessary to trim or bend a small amount of sheet metal from the Exhaust heat shield in order to install the brace.

I will have pictures of the installed product on a Thunderbird in the near future. For more information on these or other parts, send me an email. More pictures will be added to this page as time goes on.
