| A quiet sunlit afternoon When soft breezes blow To walk together in contentment With no particular place to go. The day moves on and so do we Going out and about To walk through the silent trees With the leaves lying all around. The fading sun bathes the grass With golden rays of autumn light The pink sunset tickles the moon Shining clear and bright. And now to home we come to rest As darkness falls again To sit with friends who know us best Now that the day is at its end. |
