The Dothan Dolphin Swim Team, DDST, is located in Dothan, Alabama. The "Dolphins" are under the Department of Leisure Services and coached by Jinri Jiang (Coach John). DDST is a swim team that participates year-round and has a great record when it comes to swimming competition. DDST swimmers range from 6-18 years old. DDST is in the Southeastern LSC of USA-swimming Organization. Home meets and practice take place at the Bohlert Pool at Westgate Park. The Dothan Dolphins invite you to come swim with us, either as a member of our team or with your team, participating at one of our meets!!
Our desire is to give children who enter the Dothan Dolphins swim program a chance to have fun, develop themselves physically and mentally, and reap the rewards that competitive swimming can deliver. Swimming is a wonderful method of developing good habits, which will help your child grow both physically and mentally. Competitive swimming teaches our swimmers how to set goals, to work as a team, to except defeat, and to enjoy victory. All of these skills can help your children toward becoming productive adults. Although we want to offer every one the chance to excel, and reach their highest potential, our most important goal is to provide the opportunity for each child to be able to participate in a compteitive recreation swimming program. |
