LYRICS/POETRY
MY BEAUTIFUL LONER
We never really met and we never really knew.
You changed my life completely and that began my blues.
You taught me how to love but you never taught yourself.
And that is why I call you "my beautiful loner".

When will you ever see just how much I needed you?
We could have made it, baby, but you could not see through.
You told me I was wrong, oh, to try and reach your soul.
Oh, why could you not help me when I wanted to be whole?

I never would have hurt you; you can only hurt yourself.
And that is why I call you "my beautiful loner".

Tell me what you are afraid of, is it truth or is it love?
Were you made to be a human or a bird in skies above?
I guess you must be meant to fly; I can see it in your name.
So I will leave you now in silence while you play your loner's game.
