LYRICS/POETRY
Like the very oxygen you breathe
Taken for granted until it's gradually
Cut off by some vile cancer;

Like your life blood until it's attacked
By some unknown virus;

Like your eyes that behold the beauty
And wonders of the world
Until they are plunged into darkness
By disease of age;

Like the love of your life
Until she walks out the door;

Like the proverbial well gone dry;

Such is freedom before it's gone.
