| D.D.: Then they turn around and say that it�s derivative. It sounds like something. You can�t have it both ways. TIM: Music is music � if it�s good, it�s good. If it sucks, it sucks. D.D. For sure. What�s your opinion on the downloading off the Net? TIM: My attitude about that is that you really can�t stop it 100% but there�s also�say you had a machine that could manufacture your own auto parts, something you could copy. If musicians never made any money on music and all of a sudden music is not a viable profession and that�s how protecting�if you could go into a book store and take a book and �I want to copy this book� and you put it on a copy machine and you copy it and say, �I�m not going to give you any money for it.� That wouldn�t fly in a million years! D.D.: No. TIM: Or if you went in a grocery store and you saw an orange and you wanted to copy it� D.D.: So, it�s safe to say you�re against it? TIM: Yeah, well, don�t get me wrong. If I like a CD and I can�t find it anywhere, I�m going to burn a copy of it. My attitude is that if I like something, if someone turns me on to something I�m going to go and buy it.
