A 6-song demo CD featuring the following cover tracks:

1. Me & My Guitar - Freddie King
2. Master Charge - Albert Collins
3. I'm Tore Down - Eric Clapton
4. Midnight Train - Buddy Guy
5. Big Legged Woman - Freddie King
6. Never Let You Go - Duke Robillard

When I was first given this CD by Rob Tarticchio, he informed me that it was "only a promo tool", not an "official" recording.  I beg to disagree, Rob!  Every track on it sounds as "professional" as anything I've ever heard and, in some cases, even better!  If I were a booker for a club or even an A&R person at a label, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to snag these guys!

I defy anyone to tell me this is not a "quality" collection of blues-rock material, ready for airplay at any time, on any station, anywhere!  The only difference between these guys and, say, Eric Clapton or Buddy Guy, is the lack of an instantly recognizable name, and being "recognizable" doesn't always mean a better listening experience.

What is really going to make the difference, of course, in their rising career is the recording of some original tunes, which I have been informed are forthcoming!

So, if you get a chance to snap up a copy of this "promo" CD, by all means, do so, but keep your eyes and ears open for news of an "official" CD!

CD REVIEW
UPDATE

Coldsweat performed admirably at the 2001 "Springrise" Music Festival (sponsored by
to-nite) at Chicago's on Sunday, March 25/01, and really made a favourable impression on the S.R.O. audience (especially the females)!
