STRINGBEAN

Stringbean was a comedian and banjo picker from the forties and fifties. He had a great voice. His early recordings sounded like they were made in a sound room 30 years later. Thats how good he was. I hope we never forget him and his tragic death in 1973 by burglers. Stringbean and his wife surprised the burglers in their home. They shot Stringbean and chased down his wife. Tragic ending for such an exceptional talent. My favorite was "barnyard banjo pickin" or known by its other name "Hot Corn Cold Corn" and many others.
