Hank Williams was born Hiram Williams, September 17, 1923 in Georgiana, Alabama. Hank died on January 1st 1953. He really brought the music of entertainers like Leadbelly, Jimmy Rodgers and the Carter family together for a style that has been unequeled in the country music field. Gospel music had a deep influence on him and it shows in his music. There's not much you can say about Hank that hasn't already been said.
