| Club Down & Dirty Offroad was formed by the original 4 Fathers of Tony Milanowski, Tim Hines, Curt Staat, and Mike VanEck in late August of 2002. It within 2 weeks the club took on Mike Zaskiewicz and Phil Allsberry to make the original 6 members of the organization. The first offroad project of the newly formed club was building the lift kit for Tim's 1990 Jeep Cherokee which was the biggest pain in the a$$ experience of a lifetime. Ever since then more and more projects and repairs have been poping up. So they boys desided to make it known that the club was like family, and would help any of there offroad brothers if need be. Just shoot us an email and we'll throw a rig building party! The first offroad adventure as a club was to the Dunes at Silver Lake on Sep 13, 2002. That was a trip to remember when Phil blew his head gasket flying into a waterhole, finding a Hum-V to pull him out, then having his top tear and fly off his Jeep being towed down the highway. |
| The love of offroading only inspired the boys to share the wealth with others and continue to build the club. They have since posted invitations online and have been handing out flyers to suspecting offroad vehicles around their hometowns. Not to mention they stopped to talk to the owner every sweet truck they saw. At this point they could see the club was starting to grow and pitched the idea of club decals to put on the vehicles It's not a mandatory "put it on, or your out" thing, just a small decal to show your DDO pride! The club is now composed of 21 members and still growing. Reaching not locally anymore, but accross the state of Michigan to Detoit and back accross the MidWest to northern Illinois. There are now chapters headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI and Chicago, IL. The club will continue to expand and spread the word to as many offroaders as possible. When you see that DD decal in a truck window, you will know its part of A different breed. |
