| The Lone Gunmen These three operatives form the editorial staff of a conspiracy-oriented magazine known as The Lone Gunmen after the alleged second assassin in the Kennedy assassination. They have contacts and inside knowledge in a diversity of fields, and function as a kind of alternative think tank for Fox Mulder. Byers is neatly bearded, well dressed, and a very precise information systems expert. Langly is tall, rangy, blond, and spectacled. His specialty is communications. Frohike has a decided penchant for Agent Dana Scully. He serves as the photographic and special operations guru of the bunch. There was a fourth member of the group, known as "The Thinker," a.k.a. Kenneth Suna. However, he appeared only once and is a computer hacking genius, having broken into the Department of Defense Top Secret files and downloaded extremly sensitive information on government involvement with aliens. He was murdered for accessing the MJ files. While the group is earnest and eccentric to the point of mania, it has provided Mulder and Scully with equal amounts of paranoid theory and objective fact. |
