Family History Research
I have recently begun to put together some of my family history and am realizing that geneology is much more in-depth than I had originally thought. When seeking information about your family's background you must also get into the places that they lived and it's history.
My grandmother had photo albums sitting on her coffee table in her apartment. Those books are full of history that is unspoken and now we can either attach our memories to them or try to come up with a story to go along with them. The reason for this is because although I know I personally asked her and my mother many times who those people were, I never really got a clear answer. My mother does not know. So, I have to make it up in my own mind because there is nothing to support it any longer. Those in the pictures or anyone knowing about them are long gone now.
I have decided that I would like to try to put together as much history in one place as I can. That includes all history with documents to back it up and/or sources where the information came from.
