MY Craig, Colorado Experience - Alternative building methods
The following is a story about my dealings with Pat Mosbey, building inspector for all of Moffat county, colorado.
In the recording being played on this website, it starts out with me telling Pat Mosbey I am changing my mind about selling my property south of Craig, colorado, and Pat Mosbey yelling "DONT DO THAT YOU'LL BE IN SOME SERIOUS TROUBLE". Not the type of thing a building inspector ought to be talking about in my opinion. We talk for about a half hour, and at least three more times, Pat Mosbey recommends, suggests, and mentions I need to sell the property, that
two in the hand is worth one in the bush : "I have a buyer and need to sell"
Whatever...
that
I can't live on the property, that I can't store things on the property, and
I can't do anything with the property but sell it.
I am also troubled as I hear Pat Mosbey say If I don't sell the property some additional fees will show up against my property on Thompson hill in Craig, Colorado.
I also heard Pat Mosbey mention the word "eminent domain". Wikipedia.org defines EMINENT DOMAIN as: in common law legal systems is the inherent power of the state to seize a citizen's private property, expropriate property, or rights in property, without the owner's consent.
Considering this, I say Colorado's property rights laws suck! yes, they are rated among the worst, thank you very much.
