Chapter Seventeen

He wasn’t happy about it, but Joey let go of Christina. He would deal with Justin once and for all.

“I’m sorry but she's not your girlfriend. She hasn't been since you cheated on her. If she was your girlfriend, she wouldn't have been leaning on me for support the last few weeks. Now go away so I can dance with my girlfriend.”

Joey went to put his arms around Christina again, but Justin grabbed him arms and pushed them away.

“I said don't touch her!” Justin yelled.

Now everyone in the room had stopped dancing, and were watching as the most popular guy in school was getting ready to pound on Joey.

“JUSTIN!” Christina said loudly. “Leave me alone! I don't love you, in fact I don't even like you after what you did to Joey and my friends.”

“Baby, how can you call them your friends? They are the losers of the school.”

“They are not! You know I let you control me too long.” It wasn’t until now that Christina realized that if it wasn’t for Justin, she probably would’ve noticed Joey long before this. But she wasn’t going to hold a grudge. She just wanted Justin out of her life. For good.

“How can you say that?” Justin said. “I don't and never have controlled you.”

Now there was a load of crap, Joey thought.

“Oh yes you have. Ever since we started going out, I always had to wear what you liked and could never be friends with them because you didn't like them.”

Justin didn’t see why she wasn’t thanking him for that. “So?”

“So?” Joey said. “You never loved her. You wanted her cause she's beautiful and you thought she'd just let you have her.”

“I can have her anytime I want.” Justin took her hand but she took it away and moved closer to Joey. “What is wrong with you? Have they brainwashed you?”

“NO!” Christina yelled. “They care about me, unlike you.” She started to cry but then stood up to him by not letting him make her cry. “I love Joey and I care about his friends and I hate you so leave me the hell alone!”

She ran out of the gym. Justin started to dash after her when Lila grabbed him from behind, pulling him back.

“Joey will go, not you, you sleeze bag.”

Justin started to walk back to a table. He sank down on a chair and accepted defeat. “I really hurt her. I hurt her bad, and I love her more than anything,” he cried.

No one really felt sorry for him. Missy came up and sat beside him. “I’m here for you Justin,” she said putting a hand on his shoulder.

He shoved her hand away. “I hate you.”

Hurt appeared in her eyes. “How can you say that?”

“I just did! Now leave me the hell alone. You’re the one that ruined my relationship with Christina.”

“No, Justin you did that yourself.” She got up from the chair. It was time to finally stop this nonsense. He wasn’t going to love her, and he was going to pay for everything he’d done. For once, Missy was going to do the right thing. “Besides, she loves Joey now so it doesn't matter.” Missy looked over and saw the principal. “I think your time has come.”

“Come for what?” he asked, until he realized that the principal of the school was there, standing beside him. He had that stern look on his face that meant business.

“Justin Randall Timberlake?” He’d had Justin in his office plenty of times. It wasn’t hard to believe what he’d been told.

“What’s going on?” Justin asked.

“You are suspended for the rest of the school year.”

“Why?” he asked.

“Sexual harassment,” the principal answered.

“Excuse me?” His eyes widened. Two policemen were coming at him. They escorted Justin out of the gym before he could get a word in.
