Guide to Roleplaying.

"What is roleplaying?".

  I cannot believe I got asked this question today by someone who was inquiring about joining a subpath. Therefore, since I know if one person doesnt know something a vast majority also doesnt, I shall inform ya what roleplaying aka rp'ing is.

  Rp'ing is when you create a fictional character to be yourself in a fictional world in order to play a game. In this game, we create ourselves in ancient KOREA. Yes, Korea. Not Japan, China, Europe, Africa, America, etc etc. Nexus is based in ancient Korea and is somewhat based on history (actually a book but we wont get into that :p) . In this game, you are a Warrior/Mage/Rogue/Poet who is making his/her own legend in our world.

  This is a RPG (Roleplaying Game). The point of this game is NOT hunting, doing minor quests, or getting new spells. Those are -parts- of it, but not the point. The point of it is to rp that you are in ancient Korea. It's that simple. Well, not quite.......

  Our ancient Korea is a wee bit different than the real ancient Korea. People dont get old or actually die. If we do die, we can be resurrected by magic. Also, we can use magic and mythical creatures exist here. There are Gods (The GMs; Gamemasters/Archons/Nexon) who run our world and ensure us mortals have a world to live in. We beg to the "Gods" for changes.

  What you must remember is that Subpaths are based ENTIRELY on roleplaying. In fact, we are probally the only real source of it anymore........if you want to get in, you must roleplay as if you are a Warrior/Mage/Rogue/Poet living in ancient Korea and surrounded by magic. This game has a real world inside of it; a world we create. It has heroes and legends. It has villians and lost souls. It has hundreds of people trying to establish themselves in the ever-changing history of the Nexus. We wont add you if you cannot roleplay. Sorry, but the entire point of this game IS to roleplay. It's not our fault you dont want to roleplay in a roleplaying game.
