Starting to play the game.

When you first enter the kingdom, you will appear in Ironhearts.  He is a retired fighter that likes to help people when they first enter the kingdom.  If you click on him, he will give you various tasks to perform to get you familiar with the kingdom and get you started. 

One of the newest things, provided you are going to register the game, is something called "mentoring".  A higher level character can be found to help a registered new player get to level 15.  This makes the game more enjoyable for the new player, and it rewards the mentor with "karma" which is important to the quests higher level people have to do.

At level 5 you get to pick your craft.  Fighters are the most powerful with weapons, mages with attack spells, poets are healers and most of their spells are healing spells, and rogues get a combonation of the weapon power and the attack magic.

Mages and Fighters take the most experience to advance, poets and rogues the least.

The only lower level characters that can really hunt alone are mages. Rogues and fighters need poets or mages to heal them as they hunt.
