I-Ching Quest

The I-Ching, (pronounced yee-jing) was brought to us from the Han Empire, and taught to Diviners over the years to divine the future, past or present. Traditionally, it will not alter your future. However, through years of dedication to our art, a few Diviners have learned to harness the energies of the fates through the use of I-Ching to seal your fate. We cannot know how it will affect you, though your prophecy could be powerful. For this reason, you must be willing to undergo trials of knowledge and skill to prove you are meant for such a powerful touch by fate's hand.

Each answer to these questions can easily be found on the Chronicles on the Winds. Simply keep your eye out for Diviner posts and you will learn much.

First Trial:

Ch'ien - Heaven, Chen - Thunder, K'an - Water, Ken - Mounatin, K'un - Earth, Li - Fire, Sun - Wind, Tui - Pond... Eight names, eight facets, eight elements. The Book of Changes  embodies these names to speak through their voices.

What do they each represent?
What direction do they lie in?
What parts of your body hold each of these things?

Bring each of these to me and answer these questions of your knowledge.

Second Trial:

Deep in the caves of the Mythic lands, an orb that gently glows casts its light upon dark walls. It can give you great mana, yet take away your protection. An old philosopher once dubbed the Tao Stone. Seek out this glowing stone and upon placing it in my hands, I must know, what exactly is it that makes this stone like Tao?

   Third Trial:

The Monks and other Buddhists, as well as the Hindus from the western lands, have given us the concept of karma. Many here only see it as a scale to measure for quest' and trinkets, but it has greater meaning. What is its true meaning?
