My students recently complete digital magazines using Microsoft word.  This was a culminating activity for our Earth, Sun, and Moon webquest.  In addition to learning about Space, students learned important features of Word; such as inserting titles, adding imagages, adding hyperlinks, and changing backgrounds.  All and all, the project was a success, but there are some changes that I would try next year. 

Aspects of the project that went very well included; the article template, which offered an organizational format for the articles, the Magazine Template, and most of the web resourses. 

There were a few things about the project that I would change.  One thing I would do differently is allow for more freedom in terms of article topics.  The required information was too difficult for some and too easy for others.  Second, I'd mak the organizers for required article much more specific in what to look for.   Using webpages to find information can be a difficult task, and for students without much experience using the web it was almost impossible.   Very specific organizers for students who need guidence is necessary.

Again the webquest and magazine was a worthwhile project and with a little tweeking will be even better next year.
