Philosophy of Education
I believe that students learn best in an environment that is structured, but  flexible.  Students need routine and organization, but they also need the flexibility to make choices about their own learning.  It is important that students learn what is expected of them and how the day, materials and the classroom will be organized.  Routine and organization help students feel comfortable in their classroom and school.  This framework and  outline gives students something to connect to and bridge off from.

Often things do not work out exactly as planned and you need to make adjustments as you go along.  Surprises can be common in classrooms, especially when using technology.  Teachers as well as students need to be flexible, and have the ability to adapt to different situations that arise and make changes when necessary. .

Finally, classrooms work best when everyone is working together.  I try to instill the idea that we are  a team, all working toward the same goal, learning as much as we can.  We need each other to be our best in order for us to  reach that goal.
