| April 24, 2005 Sorry for not updating in a while. Well, we have two more weeks of school including finals week. I want to get out so bad. Right now I am home again for today. As many of you know I have dyed my hair blonde, but as the dark roots started to grow in, I started to miss the dark. And the girls like it better that way. So today my family is going out shopping at Walmart and getting me some dark hair dye. And sad to say, April 26, my brother Joseph is leaving for Nemo, SD (about 15 miles NW of Rapid City), and he will be there for over a year and a half. I got him a few going away presents: A metal sign that says "Ford Racing Fans Only" or something like that. My brother likes Ford Muscle Cars. I also got him Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto Vice City. A while back, we buddied up on those games, and then I got a special double pack because GTA III went to shit, so I saw I had two of each, and gave the better copies to my bro. Now he can say he has all the modern GTA's, GTA III to GTA San Andreas. But I am going to be missing him a lot; I guess I know how he felt when I left for college. I'll miss you lots buddy. Last Saturday night we had a Spring Vocal Concert at the PAC on campus at SDSU. Men's Choir performed first, and I loved it a lot. Singing first tenor, I loved hitting those high notes. The songs we sang: "Brothers In Song Sing On" "Be Thou My Vision" "The Walls of Zion" "Riders In The Sky" "Live A Humble" "Prayer of the Children" My favorites were "Be Thou My Vision," "Live A Humble," but most of all, "Prayer of the Children." One time some friends and I were commemorating the 9/11 tragedy, and I sang "Be Thou My Vision" for praise to God through the troubled times, so basically I knew the song luckily. "Live A Humble" is an awesome song, love the first tenor parts in that. I created my own first tenor part in that, but Dr. Grieves kinda looked at me funny like "Nice idea, but no." Oh well. If I get a CD of the concert, I'll sing that part along to the song. Heh heh. And "Prayer of the Children," we all loved doing that one; about 75% of our men's choir have sung it before, me being one of them. Acapella Choir sang it for graduation my senior year. But if you read the rules of this song, you will know. Here are some rules about "Prayer of the Children:" 1. You do not talk about "Prayer of the Children." 2. You DO NOT talk about "Prayer of the Children." But most of all: 3. "Prayer of the Children should only be done as an all-men's piece to ensure better audience/performer reaction. After the concert was finished, I came back to Aberdeen, and met up with Amber and Liz at their hotel room at the Ramada. And Liz. . . . .MAN! She was already wasted, it was so hilarious!!! So they treat me to a few Bacardi's, Mike's Hard Lemonade, and this Green Apple stuff. I loved all those, but it's CHICK ALCOHOL!!! It was good though. My brother came too, but he brought some Killian's with him, and that stuff is true beer. It tastes like the first time I ever had beer, and that was with Josh Abel my 3rd grade year. HA HA. Then Dan came, and a few of his friends came over; I didn't mind but Amber did, and I felt bad because it was Amber's room; she paid for just about everything with Liz. But they left luckily, and after watching a few funny episodes of "Next" and the movie "Starsky and Hutch," me, Amber, and Liz fell asleep. Liz had to work at 8:30 which really sucks, and so it was just me and Amber sleeping. Then at like 10 AM, a lady bangs on the door and yells "HOUSEKEEPING!!!" She opens it then leaves, and we are like "WTF!!! Housekeeping at 10 AM, and while we're still checked into the room???" Pfft. For crying out loud. But other than that, I had fun. (Um, something good to go out on. . . . . .hmm. . . . . .) Well, THAT'S MY MOMMA!!! Eh heh heh heh. |
