You can Delete PC
Files Forever

Dragging a file to the Trash or
Recycle Bin does not actually delete it all the way. Your computer will mark it
"deleted" and might later overwrite it with other data, but the file is not
gone.
Like BC Wipe on the PC, Burn will
get rid of your Mac files for good. Instead of dragging a document to the trash, you can
drag it over the Burn icon. Burn then overwrites the file with random numbers. You can
also delete aliases without affecting the original file.
BCWipe
Jetico, Inc.
Need to remove sensitive data from your computer? Many people don't realize that deleting
a file doesn't actually erase it; it just removes references to its location on your
system. The file can usually be restored with a good disk tool. When you have to make sure
all traces of a file are really gone, you need a program like BCWipe. This freeware tool
hooks into the Explorer right-click context menu to enable you to get rid of data
permanently. Files and folders can be wiped clean and deleted with just a few clicks. Two
main modes of wiping are provided: Normal standard wiping (in which you may define the
number of passes) and U.S. Department of Defense seven-pass, extended-character, rotation
wiping. BCWipe also lets you clean all free space on your hard drive(s), shred the
contents of the Windows swap file, and view a file before you remove it.
