Northern Vietnam
Part 8: Bustling Hanoi and Peaceful Sapa
In Hanoi we saw several interesting things.  This is a water puppet show.  The puppets are controled by puppeteers who are behind the screen and waist deep in water
From Hanoi we continued to Sapa, a beautiful mountain town and meeting place for the people of many different tribes.
This is Chi, a H'mong girl who befriended us and showed us around a little.
We trekked out to some rather remote villages where the people thrive by selling their clothing and needlework to the few tourists that find their little valley.
Undernourished, the women are invariably short of stature.
Dave bought his tribal shirt from this kind woman, who sits in Sapa selling her work.
