| Most Khmers (Cambodians) do all their shopping at the markets. This is the Central Market, one of the biggest in town. With a busy but vibrant atmosphere it is the scene of friendly haggling and socializing. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Others chose to move to a temple and live as a monk. Similar to the monks in Thailand, Khmer monks also make their morning rounds begging for food or money. The identifying feature of a Khmer monk is that they all carry yellow or black umbrellas. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| And the monkeys...well they're residents of Phnom Penh too! Most make their home in the trees around Wat Phnom and make their living from generous passers-by. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
