Bassam Adil as Bosy, Taimore Alvi as Tony, Khurram Baig as Baig Shahab, Tehseen Raza as TT, Asif Ishaq as PracticalGuy or HBK, Kamran Qaiser as Maulana, Fahd Bin Rashid as Toffe, Fahad Shamim as MFS and me Owais Ahmed as Relaxation.
Departure:
20th July 2004
Karachi. We are in swat now. And this place is famous for its raging freezing river, high peak points such as MalamJabba, Bahrain, Kalam and much more.
Day 8: We overslept this morning resting the aching everything in us. Had no plans for anything just wanted to stay back and watch TV. We finally voted for MalamJabba. Once again a bumby round n round ride….wonder what these pathans do with roads. None other then Bosy felt a victim of nausea and went for a Woooaaa… Woooaaa…..:P. MalamJabba; a 10000 feet high hill station one of the queen beauties of Sawt. It was 20 min walk to the hilltop from the bus stand, and everything was covered with clouds. Getting there was tough, an inclination of 45o and hard to breath in clouds. Khiar ragging TT all the way up brought no fears for anything. We finally remembered our loved ones here and messaged them. One read “darling I am a chowkidar for u.
Adjacent to hill there is a green valley that is famous for skiing. A guide took us there saying that there will be some ancient monuments. But there was noting that could be termed as ancient or monument :P. khiar the guide was pathan. .. we should have thought about this before :S. Finally we were home, food was served, Practical Guy finally opend his mouth and uttered “Aur kia chahiay”. Once again Baig Sahib proved his skills as the laundry man around. MFS dared him to clean his socks and Baig Sahib won….amazing. Khiar at midnight their was rain and thunder at extreme. Damn! Our bags were out in open air. Most of the bags and shoes were wet and we rushed to get them in. After placing the bags under the shade we came back in to see that we have our room filled with thousands of “Flying Ants”. It was hell of a show.
Day 9: Kalam, our next destination. The route was Miandam, Bahrain and Kalam. We stopped at Bahrain to shop. Maulana and Tony bought some shawls, toffee bought a dagger and MFS termed him a butcher and….rest I cant tell. It was drizzling all the way, and bosy couldn’t stop enjoying the weather. This pumped the adrenal gland of Maulana and he boxed Bosy really badly :). And bosy could just say “Maulana tu bach”. We were in search of Sangam Hotel there..as advised by someone…but now we are in search for that person. Bosy, Toffee and Relaxation walked and walked and walked but no signs of Sangam hotel :(.We saw 8th wonder of the world in Kalam. English movies were dubbed in Pashto. Well these Pathans sure are a miracle of God :D. Tony was unable to control his emotions at this site. You can come and ask me how they pronounced Penelope Cruize.
Day10: Dhamaka Jheel :P. No its not another teen movie dubbed in Pushto, it’s the name of a local lake which was another flop of our tour. Practical guy speaks again here and we enjoy. :P. On our way back we stopped at Oshu forest. These are dense forest with long trees. While exploring the place we found a large patch where guys were playing cricket. Later we stopped at Kalam river, best place of the day. We sat on “Charpai” in the river. There Toffe and MKB managed to throw the 5 year old socks of MFS in the river :P. and baig sahib felt really sorry. Day 11: Next morning we had to leave for Mingora. Our amazing time at kalam is simply undefined in above lines, but I guess everything comes to an end. It was Friday and we had an ultimate experience of Friday prayer. The mosque was under construction and there was less space for people to accommodate. Most of the people were standing beside “Open Toilets”. Yeah no comments. We started our journey at 3 PM and at 3:20 our van developed a phatan fault in the tire rod. It took 2 hours to fix the car, and we got to learn about the life of the driver. Here I would like to mention the greatest incident of all times. MFS suffered a nature call. He found a nice isolated spot but the things weren’t easy for him because MKB decided not give him the water bottle!!.
Day12: We made our way back to Rawalpindi. Things were never good on the road and this time it was the bus air-condition. It was really hot outside and TT was inside, so one can easily imagine the conditions. Khiar we managed our way with air fresheners. We had a pit stop at Sher Ghar Shell Petrol Pump. Toffee made sure that when we leave this place, shell pump authorities will burn and demolish the second toilet from the right…..yar kash you peolple could see the phatan’s grin when he walked in the toilet after toffee left. :P Day13: We are here at PUNJAB HOUSE Islamabad, Minister and other high officials resident around. We went to Murree today, once again bosy had a harsh ride, Relaxation and toffee searched for washrooms badly and finally found one. By now I guess u people must have guessed why we had 3.5 toilets :P. Murree was a nice place, beauty was at its peak..kash DCS mai bhi aaisay he loog hotay. ”Tonight awaits the best @ Ragging TT. It was the edge, the supreme, the Ultimate, and all credit goes to bosy :D. Everyone was ready to stop the roaring TT….waisay this helped TT to digest the dal chawal we had in dinner. :P….but whtever….ULTIMATE TAKE by bosy. Day14: TT had a bad night and a bad day. There was nothing new in it .. but the flurry of abuses and creativity with in was new. Toffee picked a miss call from TT, and TT couldn’t stop. We were out to Lahore today. On road once again, the bus air conditioner was tunn. We saw a dumb Pooja Bhut and Sharukh Khan movie “Chahat” in the bus, everyone had a grin, but TT and Practical guy enjoyed……pata nahi kia nazar aa raha tha ? and maulana sahib was asking every scene if he missed any. Welcome to Lahore: the city of food … food ….food…n damsels :D. we searched a nice hotel there…cause 75% hotels in Lahore are rated for “honkabonkabonks” n all..and Allah bachay iss sai. Dinner was at Food Street. Fish, Sajji, Salads, and later icecream from Chaman. We simply couldn’t stop.
Day15: It was all about Lahore today. Toffee and MFS late lateef got the cars today. We had Nasta at food street halwa puri, lassi, it wasn’t a glass it was a Balti. Went to red Fort and toffee couldn’t stop staring the Russians, and he was in fix :P. MKB boasting about ancestors cause he is the last renowned left over of Mughals. Later it was Badshahi mosque and the Zoo, where we met a replica of toffee….and it was dirty. A bad bad bad Monkey saw TT and couldn’t resist his emotions and was into some illicit act, TT still feels proud about it. Later the day was Wagha Border, the patriotic feeling out there was amazing and TT and Relaxation are now graded as International Poondi baaz….”yar sikh bandian are goooood”. Dinner again at Food Street. And Poondi again at Lahore Defense Y block market.
Day16: The grande finale, our final ride to Karachi at 6:00 PM. Everyone went to visit their relatives. Some went on shopping and some stayed back in the hotel packing. It was tunn day at Lahore. But we were counting minutes for the train departure. Finally at 6 we were off to Karachi and at train it was fun again. Court piece + snacks + ragging TT……credit for ragging TT comes to Relaxation now…and TT at last didn’t say a word till we reached Karachi. Day 17: We were 4 hours from Karachi…and the TT take was still on :D. Finally Karachi was here…the best of all cities. … home sweet home. A one liner for the trip :D IT STARTS WITH A “TAKE” IT ENDS WITH A “TAKE” |
