You've seen him play nice on Dawson's Creek, now see Kerr Smith not so nice in the new-to-video Final Destination. He gave us a call and told us all about it.

You must feel like a big-time movie star now, with Final Destination having done so well.
I'm trying! It's a two-hour roller-coaster ride, but it's a really good movie.

Have you been on a plane since filming?
Yeah, about 50 times. (laughs)

Are you more like your character in the movie, or like Jack in Dawson's Creek?
Neither. I'm somewhere in-between them both I guess. My character in the movie is a bully, and not very nice. And that's why I took the role, because he's the antithesis of Jack.

Have you ever been to Australia?
No, but I'm hoping to get down there soon. It's tough to find the time though!

Do you get mobbed by fans wherever you go?
It depends where you are. But yeah, it's tough to go out on the weekends.

Do you have people who look like you to create a diversion?
Yeah, I have some guys who look like me, that I always go out with, and we all go in different directions. I'm kidding! No, I just go about my business. There are times when you definitely have to put a hat on though. It was really insane when we had the Dawson's Creek concert. I felt like a rock star!
