JOSHUA JACKSON

All About Josh Big Hit Magazine September 2002 Issue #42

Thank goodness Dawson's Creek is back on TV, that's all we can say. Let's check in with Josh Jackson to see what he's been up to ...

Love status: Josh has never been married but he is dating Rosario Dawson from Josie and the Pussycats and Men In Black II. Rumour has it the pair are engaged!!!

Lives: Los Angeles unless he's filming in Dawson's in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The ideal woman: Creek's North Carolina set makes it, "Difficult to maintain a relationship," says Josh, who has dated co-stars Katie Holmes and Brittany Daniel. "I've got to find myself a nice southern belle."

What's he been doing while DC has been off-air:
Before he was Pacey Witter, Joshie was best known for his movie roles, including the three Mighty Ducks films. During his breaks from filming DC, he has starred in movies like The Skulls and has just wrapped on the new flick Cowboys and Idots (which used to be called Lone Star State of Mind - which was a much cool name if you ask us !).

Whatta catch: "Josh started each day shaking hands with every crew member and saying hello," says Cowboys director David Semel. "And he ended every day shaking every crew member's hand and saying thank you."

Cartoon capers: "My favourite cartoon used to be Scooby-Doo but right now it's The Powerpuff Girls," says Josh with a smile. "I already get questioned enough because I'm a guy who wears make-up for a living!"

My favourite book: "Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings."

My favourite music: "Any kind of music. I'm listening to Ben Harper right now. Old-style jazz, Dizzy Gillespie. Anything but country."

My heroes:
"Sean Connery, Matt Damon, Samuel L. Jackson, Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino." Not many, then?

My favourite movie: Josh's favourite movies are the Stars Wars series and he has been a lifelong fan. He even auditioned for the role of Anakin Skywalker that later went to Hayden Christensen. "I would, quite literally, do it for free," he said at the time.

My hero: "My friend and I once saved this woman from drowning," recalls Josh. "She'd had an asthma attack. She picked a foolish place to go swimming and got herself into a bit of a situation. But all we did was act as flesh-and-blood flotation devices until the Coast Guard picked her up."

The best gift I got from a fan: Josh says that he enjoys getting compliments from fans and sometimes he even gets some cool gifts. "The best thing I got was a big teddy bear that, when you squeeze its foot, says, 'I love you'." Awww.
