Looking nothing like her Dawson's Creek character Joey Potter, Katie Holmes has radically altered her image for her role in Pieces of April.

In the film Katie plays April, a 21-year-old wild child who ends up having to cook Thanksgiving dinner for her prim and proper family.

As you can see by our photos, a cherry tattoo was placed on Katie's neck and she was sent to a hairdresser for a total punk make over!

Katie, for one, loves the transformation. "I'm getting older so it's nice to go for a change and be an adult," she says. "It's exciting and I usually look for material that challenges me and scared me!"
