1 Looks like Dawson's Creek co-star Josh Jackson isn't the only Josh who gets to make movies with Katie. You'll soon see her with Josh Hartnett in a film called 40 Days and 40 Nights. It's a story about a guy giving up girls- until he meets the ones of his dreams!

2 Katie Down Under? Who knows. But she's getting her fair share of Aussie influence in her next filmed called "The Gift", Katie stars alongside Cate Blanchett in a story about a psychic woman using her abilities to solve a disappearance.

3 The Gift will bring Katie up against some serious Hollywood stars. There's Oscar-winner Hilary Swank, Giovanni Ribisi and lovely Matrix master Keanu Reeves!

4 Katie's guy Chris Klein may be just as busy as her, but that hasn't kept them from seeing each other often. The two arrange weekend meetings wherever they are, to keep the romantic fires burning. Awww! (Yes, we admit it - we're insanely jealous!)

5 Katie's a baby. Well, not literally. But she's the baby of the family. With three older sisters and a bro, she admits that being the youngest was the best - 'cos it meant she got to perve on her brother's friends!

6 Speaking of her brother's friends, she has quite an embarrassing story to tell. She once admitted to an interviewer the name of a guy she had a crush on - and the interviewer gave him a call! "Sure, I knew," said her crush. "She was very outgoing!"

7 Betcha didn't know she's a major brain! Katie was smart enough to score top marks all through high school, but accepting the role in Dawson's Creek forced her to defer her admission to Colmbia University, New York. But she can't wait to go one day!

8 Joey Potter may have the privilege of perving on guys a her co-ed school, but Katie Holmes graduated from Notre Dame Academy, an all-girls Catholic school in Ohio!

9 It looks like her Catholic schooling paid off. Growing up, Katie was rarely in trouble and was very close to her parents. "If they even yelled at me," she says, "it would tear me apart".

10 Katie's full name is Katherine Noelle Holmes. Her dad is lawyer Marty Holmes and her mum is Kathless, a homemaker. She was born on December 18, 1978, so she's only 21! Her favourite movies are My Best Friend's Wedding, Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles - she's a total romantic!

11 Don't think her acting achievements have gone unnoticed. Her former teachers have framed a photo of her, and placed it proudly on the walls of the school.

12 It's no secret that Katie's a beauty. So we're not surprised her model enrolled her in modelling school when she was young. But the funny part is that she actually enrolled her so she'd learn some proper manners!

13 While everyone in Katie's life knew she had acting talent from a young age, her father was dead set against the idea. He wanted her to become a doctor!

14 Even her film career is far from her father's wishes. When she starred in Disturbing Behavior, he worried what the nuns from her Catholic school would think of it!

15 Katie says that, when Dawson's Creek started filming, the four main cast members hung out non-stop. They even lived close to each other. But she says the best part was when Josh and James Van Der Beek, "would should their sensitive side, and always walk us home."

16 By now, everyone knows that Katie and Josh Jackson used to date. That's all over now, but they're not bitter. In fact, the two have remained the best of friends. "He's been in the business so long, and he's really helped me," she says. "I respect him as a friend and as professional."

17 Looks like Katie has a thing for karaoke! The actress may think she's doesnt have a very good voixe, but she sure doesn't show it with the microphone. In fact, her Teaching Mrs Tingle co-star Barry Watson once said, "I did a song with her - but I just stood there 'cos she took over the mike!"

18 Her pet peeve? Traffic. The cute Creekster gets road rage like you wouldn't believe. So if you're sharing a highway with her, you'd better steer clear!

19 The bombshell may not be a little girl any more, but you wouldn't be able to tell her from her Barbie collection. "I have about 20 dolls, the huge house, a hot dog stand, games room, workout centre, pool, Corvette and water slide park," she grins.

20 What's the downside to stardom? Stalkers! Katie was a bit freaked out when a fan peered into her apartment in Wilmington, North Carolina, with binoculars. But the trespasser was quickly arrested!
