                          NOTES FOR MOREHOST

MOREHOST.MAC is an edited version of MOSTHOST.MAC, which is in the
commo77.zip archive.

No warranty of any kind is provided.

The latest version can be found at
http://www.geocities.com/dcrife/freeware.html.

You may want to rename MOREHOST.MAC to MOSTHOST.MAC in order to use the
script with the version of COMMO.MAC that comes with {COMMO}.

MOREHOST will send the file morehost.ans upon answering a data call if the
file exists in the {COMMO} home directory. This file can contain any text
you want, such as a message to new callers. The file may contain ANSI codes
for colors and such.

MOREHOST is self-contained and does not use the file transfer protocol
macros of COMMO.MAC. Therefore this host may be invoked from the DOS prompt
by the following command line:

             "commo /mmorehost.mac /:bbs /in".

Some of the features that were added to MOSTHOST.MAC are:

1. Able to invoke BGFAX.EXE to receive FAX calls. This requires a modem
that supports +FAA=1 and +FCLASS=1 commands. The script will not
attempt to set modem for FAX answer unless BGFAX.EXE is available and
the modem responds correctly to +FAA=?.

2. All macros are self contained (does not need help from commo.mac). This
allows different file receive treatment for normal users and DOS menu
    users.

3. Contains a list of valid drives and checks for all requests for access
to drives; reports invalid drives. This prevents lockup of your computer
when a caller invokes an invalid drive (such as drive a:).

4. Has option of not accepting new callers (selected in configuration
    items).

5. Prevents callers from changing or overwriting files unless they are
using the DOS menu. New callers can, therefore, do little damage.

6. Checks for current directory when using file names by screening the
characters ":" and "\". Also screens "/p" and "/o" characters.

7. Displays current directory name to caller in DOS menu.

8. Builds a list of up to 10 files to download for callers using the DOS
menu and whose protocol is Ymodem, Zmodem, or HS/Link.

9. Returns to starting directory when user quits script.

10. Instant access to DOS menu if caller's password is the same as the DOS
    password.

11. The Esc key and Q invoke an "are you sure?" message and script returns
to work if no answer is given within 5 seconds.

12. Provides a scripted "restrict" Zmodem file receive. Restricted uploads
prevent the caller from overwriting existing files and cause discard of
    partially received files.
