| 2006 Photography Scholarship Award The 2nd Annual Photography Scholarship was awarded Tuesday, June 20th,2006 by the Darke County Parks Photography Club during their monthly meeting. Andrew Ross of Arcanum High School was presented $1500.00 scholarship by Jack Creech (Scholarship Committee Chairman) along with Johnny Perry, Phil Hemmelgarn and Marlene Creech. Also attending the presentation were the scholarship sponsors Mr ross read his very impressive essay along with displaying 5 photos that were entered for the scholarship. Andrew's photos were thought to be very impressive not only by the scholarship committee members, but also by the sponsors and all photo club members in attendance. Andrew will be attending college for Computer graphics. All members of the Photography Club congratulate Andrew and wish him well on his career. |
| Club Donates to Hurricane Relief Due to all the devastation in the gulf coast caused by the recent hurricanes this year. On September 28, 2005 Donna Huelskamp Club President and Johnny Perry Public Relations Officer/Reporter present a check of $200.00 approved by the members of the photography club to Kathy Daugherty Assistant Administrator for The American Red Cross. | 2005 Photographer of the Year Announced During the March 2006 meeting the photographer of the year for 2005 was announced. Donna Heulskamp announced the winner was Janis Perry. Mrs. Perry has been a member of the photography club for 2 years and accumulated the most points during 2005. "Congratulations from all Club Members" |
