| A Good Woman Gone Betsy Willis was born in Putnam County, Georgia 15 Jan 1822 and died 11 Aug 1898. In 1840 she married J M Champion. Four children were born of this union. In 1848 she left a widow, but married William Greer in 1858. To them born three boys and two girls. She joined the Baptist Church at Liberty, now Emmeus, when eighteen years old, and lived a consistent Christian life until the Master called her home. Our loss is her gain. Having finished her course; and having fought a good fight, when the time of her departure came she was ready to go; and she fell asleep in the arms of her Master and Lord. May God Bless and save all these who love her memory. She fell asleep in Jesus. ----- Blessed sleep, from which none ever awake to weep |
